Election Day -53: Making a Difference

leave a comment »

Sometimes it feels like everything’s beginning to come together. A beautiful spring day, my team wins, others drop vital points; but more importantly the Lib Dem conference gains coverage and respect (unlike the Tory one which had the unpleasant aroma of Cashcroft) and I’m getting the same feedback on the doorstep – people are ready for change and they believe the Lib Dems can deliver it.

There’s a sea change with my blog, too – more and more people are reading it, and now the responses are positive. When I first blogged about the Tories and what I suspected about how well funded their Westminster North campaign had to be (months before the facts came out), I was stung by the vitriolic (and in the event unfounded) response. Now the truth is out, the mood is changing – bring on the TV debates and May 6th.
